The main challenge came from Scott Stewart, who lost to Bas, but won three of his games against higher seeded opponents

The Club's Summer Swiss tournament was a race between Patrick Cook and Bas van Riel.
They drew their game in round 3,whereafter Patrick had another draw against Peter Lumsdon in the next round.
Unfortunately the deciding game of the last round between Peter Lumsdon and Bas van Riel was postponed 'perpetually',
and the DOP decided to award a loss to both players.This made Patrick the winner with 5/6,
Bas second on 4.5/6 and Peter and Scoitt Stewrt equal third on 3.5 points.
