This is the first Expo of its type in Australia.
This
inaugural, annual event will run along the lines of the Essen Games Fair (Spiel
Essen) in Germany. In anticipation of a
positive response from exhibitors and the public, the venue has been booked for
2007 and 2008 on the same weekend.
At
the Australian Games Expo 2006, the first sanctioned,
Australian Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne Tournaments
will be conducted.
Three
sponsors are providing the airfares and accommodation.
Funatical,
Ventura
International and Walrus & Carpenter.
The
exhibitors are expected to be retailers, manufacturers, game authors/designers
and other related companies and/or persons. All will be able sell from their
booths.
In addition to the exhibitors and the two tournaments,
there will be over 150 different board and card games for you to play.
Experienced instructors from www.eurogamesfest.com will assist
with the new games.

Entry
fee is $25 and allows you access to the Expo for both days. No further
entry fees apply.
The
tournaments will be run simultaneously.
