ROW vs Russia
The Rest of the World vs Russia 64 board friendly match in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Russian Correspondence Chess Association starts on February 15th. On Board 1 for the ROW team is the 11th World Champion (and Purdy Jubilee-A participant) GM Dr Fritz Baumbach (GER) against the 12th World Champion GM Grigory Sanakoev. Your international secretary managed to get a spot on board 50 against Dmitry Borisenkov (2356) which is a great honour when you look at the just a few of the ROW players, i.e. GM J. van Oosterom 2735, SM Z. World Cup XIV - Tournament Directors needed!
As advised in the last issue of ACCQ, Australia will be hosting the next ICCF World Cup which is expected
to start late 2004. George Stibal is in charge of this event as the Central Tournament Leader (CTL) and
he is looking for around 10 people for the role of Tournament Director to handle 11-player sections.
It is a requirement that you have email access and a good knowledge of the workings of ICCF rules; these
